Description
Ming Dynasty Bronze Pouring Vessel (Yi) cast in bronze with an open spout at one end and a loop handle formed by an arched dragon at the other, the sides decorated with a band of angular scrolls above horizontal ribs, with a four-character inscription in the interior, all supported on four tab feet after an archaistic prototype. Length 11 3/4 inches (29.8 cm.). NOTE: Offered at Sotheby's New York, Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art, Lot 257, 18 March, 2014.
