Description
In the world of commercial diving in the 1970s and 1980s, Miller helmets were considered one of the jewels in industry. Constructed with a solid bronze shell these helmets have a unique appearance and durability to last forever. Starting in 1977 Ben Miller came out with the 300 series. This series would be made until 1982, when the 400 series came out (also in this auction).
This Miller helmet has the solid bronze body which is exposed. The helmet is in overall fine used condition. It does have nylon strap set-up to keep the neck dam brackets in the closed position. Please refer to detailed photos for overall condition. This helmet has seen a lot of jobs in the past but is ready for a restoration or enjoy as is. The Miller 300 series of helmet is relatively difficult to find due to its limited production time!
This helmet was originally purchased by Divers Academy International and used to train future divers. A lot of professionals learned the trade in this very helmet! The certificate of authenticity that will accompany this helmet will include this important provenance.
All diving helmets in this auction will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Nations Attic. The certificate will have a unique number that will match the number on a tamperproof hologram decal placed inside the helmet. This information will be kept on permanent file at Nations Attic and help ensure the provenance of the helmet and authenticity.
All items will be shipped with a signature required upon delivery and full insurance either via FedEx or the USPS Priority Mail. Worldwide shipping is available; however, no ocean freight will be offered on large items. DHL express is an option for international shipments under 600 pounds via air. A shipping quote prior to the auction can be provided by emailing your postal code.
