Description
Signed on the base with Le Verrier foundry mark. On stepped black marble base. Overall Height 26 in. Note: Max Le Verrier created this iconic sculpture in 1928. Sculpted in his atelier with a live model the legs are documented as coming from a Josephine Baker dancer. This goddess of light is one of the most recognizable creations from the art deco period and is Le Verrier's crowning achievement.
