Description
Emperor Khai Dinh's Qing Dynasty Famille Rose Porcelain Fengweizun Vase W/Three Courts Scene (From a Vietnamese Royal Family) - This porcelain vase is of typical Fengweizun form with a widely flaring, scalloped trumpet neck resembling a phoenix tail, resting on a large globular body with a footed base. The vase is decorated in the famille rose style with an ornate three courts scene. The bottom of the vase bears the six character Kangxi reign mark in underglazed blue. This piece comes from the estate of a Vietnamese Royal Family (the family now lives in the United States, and wishes to remain private as they still have relatives living in Vietnam). According to our seller, this piece was kept in the personal collection of the 12th Nguyen Emperor Khai Dinh. This piece has excellent investment potential, as it is thought by experts around the world and avid collectors that due to the rapid modernization of Vietnam, Vietnamese antiques will within the next ten years be more valuable than Chinese antiques. According to some of the most expert collectors in the world, what used to sell for hundreds are now selling for tens of thousands. Measurements: 17.5"H x 8.5"W.
