A PAIR OF FAMILLE-VERTE 'LANDSCAPE' DISHES
China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912)
The pair of dishes painted with polychrome enamels. The interior showing two figures in a riverside landscape with mountainous peaks in the distance, all within a border of cartouches enclosing flowers and insects against a cobalt blue ground heightened in gilt with floral motifs. With a double circle to the underside.
Condition: Very good condition with expected wear and minor manufacturing flaws, one dish with a chip to the rim.
Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by a second-generation member of the Holzapfel family and has remained in the family ever since.

Dimensions: Diameter 23 cm
