A PAIR OF MING STYLE BLUE AND WHITE CANDLE HOLDERS
China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). A central bowl with spiked rim is supported on three dragon feet and surmounted by an amphora vase candle holder. Boldly painted in underglaze blue with a pair of phoenixes and lotus scroll.
Condition: With wear, surface scratches and manufacturing flaws. One candle holder with a repair to the lip of the amphora vase and to two spikes.
Provenance: Croatian private collection.

Dimensions: Height c. 32 cm each
