Russian lacquerware, (8) pieces, c. 1989-1990, including boxes and caskets, each with detailed hand-painted scenes top and sides, signed and dated on lower edge of tops, two with orig. price labels underneath, one marked "Made in Russia", the smallest with hinged lid, one outer box with Palekh label, 2"h x 3"l x 2"w (largest), 1.5"h x 1.25"squ (smallest), includes (4) original boxes; with, one plate marked "Made in USSR" and maker's mark, 7.75"dia

Good/Fair, most with little wear, some rubbing to feet or bottom, the tallest example, depicting three women, with lacquer bubbling on the top and a chipped corner; the smallest with scattered losses and overall cracking to lacquer, the plate with wear around rim **Condition reports are rendered as specialist opinion by the staff of the Auction House and not as statements of fact.
