North America, USA, ca. 19th century CE. A fascinating plaster anatomical model of a tapeworm, showing the body structure and internal anatomy of the creature. Made to be used for scientific demonstrations. An old sticker on the front implores the viewer to keep hands and pencils off of the model. A dramatic and grotesque conversation starter! Size: 20.5" W x 18.5" H (52.1 cm x 47 cm)
