1906 Tiffany & Co. ''The Studebaker Cup'' Figural Sterling Loving Cup Trophy. Made for Studebaker Bros. Mfg. Company who would later make their famous Automobiles. At this time they were making horse-drawn coaches. Won by Horses, Black Chief & Hindoo Prince in 1906 with Owner H.W. Treat. Lady Arva & Lord Nelson in 1907 with Owner John W. Consioine. Black Chief & Hindoo Prince in 1907 with Owner T.B. Wilcox. Finally, Andrew Laidlaw in 1909. The piece has (8) figural horse heads protruding from top with oak leaf and acorn patterning. Base has (8) horse shoes in relief amongst holly. Each side has the cities listed where Studebaker had their factories. It measures 12.5''x9'' and weighs a solid 57 troy ounces of silver. It has a gold washed interior. Very slight dent near the owner name John W. Consioine. No other damage.
