German Waffenfabrik commercial military accepted Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" chambered in 7.63 X 75mm Mauser with detailed engravings and stag grips. Engravings run from barrel tip and bottom of locking plate to below handle. Right lower frame features a large detailed engraving of a German imperial eagle, left side features a lion. German Imperial military acceptance mark found on rear right side of barrel. Barrel shank is marked "Waffenfabrik Mauser OberIIDorf a/N". The marking "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERIIDORF A. NECKAR" is found above right grip on lower frame. Serial number "309765" is present on rear of gun between grips and below the hammer. Serial abbreviation "765" is present on the hammer, top of bolt, interior of magazine door, and is carved once on the inside of each of the two stag grips (only visible when removed). Serial number suggests the pistol was likely manufactured in 1915, maybe 1916. Three more proofing marks found on bottom of barrel, and two on top of bolt next to the serial. "SN" marked on rear of hammer. Action is smooth and weapon functions as was issued. Internal magazine takedown works without issue. Bore is bright and clear. Service and holster wear is present throughout and is proper. Does not appear to have ever been reblued. All pieces are original. Stock/holster is in good condition, attachment lug functions properly, easily attaches and detaches from C96. Latch button opens easily, hinge is smooth.
