Andy Warhol (Pittsburgh / New York, 1928-1987). An American pop art screenprint in colors. Titled, "John Gotti," produced 1986. A figural portrait composition outlined in colors depicting American gangster and Gambino crime family boss John Gotti (1940-2002). On white stamped HMP handmade paper with deckle edge and watermark to upper right. The original work was produced as a September 1986 cover for TIME magazine. No apparent signature. Retains Sotheby's auction label affixed to verso. Presented in a decorative frame. Provenance: The Estate of Andy Warhol, bearing estate stamp on verso. Reputed by previous owner to have been purchased in 2012 in a private sale from collector and Warhol superstar Jane Holzer.

Condition: Good overall condition, having average surface wear. Loosely mounted. Frame having mild storage surface wear to edges. Print has not been examined out of frame. Estate fresh to the market.
