Description

Attributed to Marcus & Co., Antique Gold Gem-set Brooch, designed as enamel wings with circular-cut demantoid garnets and sapphires, a pear-shape diamond accent, and old European-cut diamond accents, 1 1/4 x 1 3/16 in., unsigned, boxed.

Condition

Condition: Diamond approx. 0.75 cts. Possibly altered. Acid tests 18kt. A photocopy of a 1935 appraisal lists the pin, with a hand-written note stating "Made by Marcus" in the margin.
