JACKIE ROBINSON SIGNED SIGNATURE MODEL BAT
Item Details
Description
Jackie Robinson signed Louisville Slugger 125 Flame Tempered JR34 Baseball Bat. While most baseball historians would crown the Babe as the most important figure in twentieth century baseball, a strong argument could be made for this man, who stood up to the taunts and threats of the bigoted masses using his Hall of Fame skill and quiet courage. Jack Roosevelt Robinson was born on January 31, 1919, in Cairo, Georgia. The youngest of five children, Robinson was raised in relative poverty by a single mother. Robinson became the first Black athlete to play Major League Baseball in the 20th century when he took the field for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. Throughout his decade-long career, Robinson distinguished himself as one of the game's most talented and exciting players, recording an impressive .311 career batting average. This item comes with a letter of authenticity issued by Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators along with the GFA guarantee of authenticity.
