Item Details

Description

Two Chinese terracotta warrior style figures after Emperor Qin Huang's terracotta army burial offering, each executed in terracotta with a grey wash, comprising a standing figure modeled with a traditional hairstyle wearing armor with his hands clasped in front, the second wearing armor while kneeling with hands positioned to hold a bow or staff, both rising on rectangular bases, apparently having no marks. Provenance: From the Private Collection of Veronica Holmes, Atlanta, Georgia. Standing figure approx: h. 32", w. 10", d. 6".
