Description
A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN BOWL, 1900s
China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) - Republic period (1912-1949). The conical sides rising from a slightly spreading foot to an everted rim, the interior boldly painted in cobalt blue with seven leafy flower heads on their stems, the everted rim with simple floral meander, the exterior similarly decorated along with a key fret border below the rim. The base with an apocryphal six-character Kangxi mark within a circle.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities, including pitting and dark spots.
Provenance: A notable private collector in Kensington, London, United Kingdom.
