American (1868-1952), two unframed photogravures from The North American Indian: 'Fish Shows - Apsaroke' and 'Masked Dancer - Cowichan,' plate 326; each printed by John Andrew & Son, with title, date, copyright, plate number and publisher's credit along the bottom edge.
image sizes: the first: height 15 1/2in, width 10 1/4in; the second: height 15 1/4in, width 10 3/4in
Condition
Each in good condition overall; unframed, as stated. The paper with deckled edges.

'Masked Dancer - Cowichan:' A few scattered spots of foxing. An approximately 1in x 1/4in abrasion/shallow loss in the lower center outside of the plate impression. A few scattered minor handling creases, primarily in the lower left.

'Fish Shows - Apsaroke:' Two areas of abrasion/shallow surface loss in the upper and right borders, each measuring about 2 1/2in x 1 1/2in.A handful of scatered handling creases. An approximately 4in-long h-shaped crease in the left hand side; two more diagonal creases in the lower left corner, each about 2in long.
