Item DetailsTitle: Rare Set of 8 Georgian George II Candlesticks 1756-1757 Candleholders Year/Origin: 1756-1757England Additional Information: 1756-1757England
A magnificent set of 8 Antique George II Solid Silver Candlesticks. The Set features a Classic Corinthian column design with removable sconces and shaped ornate bases.
This set is unusual in its completeness. Although large sets of candlesticks were common in the 18th century when these were commissioned, it is rare to have such large, complete sets in Modern Times, as most of the large suites were broken down as part of inheritance divisions etc.
They are of significant size and remain in excellent condition. There are armorials and crests engraved on some of the sticks - some have two, some one and some none.
