Item Details
Description
Panel (approximately 14"x 39"). Erie Litho Co, 1939. After Charles Sparks's proprietorship of the Downie show reached its end, in 1938, the next to tour the title, for part of the 1939 season was William Moore. Moore acquired and used whatever was left of the old Erie poster stock imprinted with "Charles Sparks presents Downie Bros. Circus," but whacked off the Sparks name before tagging the paper. This attractive pictorial shows a gorgeous young woman putting the big cats through their paces. B+ Cond, Linen backed.
