Item Details

Description

A George Nakashima turned leg black walnut boat shaped dining table with three rosewood inlaid butterflies and two dark walnut leaves. Table rests atop four turned legs and simple stretcher. Signed on underside 'George Nakashima, New Hope, Jan 1963'. Table with leaves: 104" wide. From the estate of Dr Manuel and Rosyln Pearson of Bala-Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, it was purchased directly from George Nakashima in the early 1960's.

Atlanta Auction Gallery will not ship this lot in house. The buyer is responsible for arranging White Glove delivery, independent courier, or Freight shipment. Auction house will supply preferred shipper list.

Condition

Excellent condition with only minor surface scratches and scuffs commensurate with age and use. Table top still maintain a deep rich color and patina. Table has been rubbed with oil its entire life.
