Description
Ancient Near East, Syria, Syro-Hittite culture, Bronze Age, ca. 2nd millennium BCE. A charming pottery bull that served as a child's pull toy shown standing atop fused legs with a lengthy body and prominent curved horns. Supported by a thick neck, his elongated snout projects forward, presenting incised eyes, annular nostrils, and a slender mouth, all flanked by a pair of petite ears, while his slender tail extends from his posterior. Lateral drill holes pierce his snout and legs, previously allowing him to be fit with wheels and a suspension loop. Size: 5" L x 1.8" W x 3.8" H (12.7 cm x 4.6 cm x 9.7 cm)
