Sitting cross-legged atop his mallet, holding open the his sack to let in two rats, one of which has already entered except for its tail, the himotoshi are lined with black horn. Signed on underside, Soko to, plus an inlaid ivory seal stained green, So. A similar model is shown in the Baur Collection catalogue (C-43). 1 1/4in (3cm). Provenance: Ex Richards collection.
