Description

A pair of Chinese porcelain famille rose/verte baluster shaped jars and covers, each painted with panels enclosing flowering peonies, asters, chrysanthemums, birds and butterflies, reserved on a seed green ground, heightened with other panels enclosing pomegranates, peaches and butterflies and many chrysanthemum flower heads, with cover, 42cm high, underglazed blue double ring to the base, Yongzheng (1723-1735)
Provenance: Formerly in a French private collection purchased from Wanniek, Paris, with attached label
