Ganymède, ca. 1958; Bronze; Three casts recorded; 13" x 11" x 9 1/2"; Literature: Kresge Art Center Bulletin, Michigan State University, Vol. II, No. 1, October 1968 (inside front cover); Exhibitions: Collecting Prints and Sculpture, Four Arts Society, Palm Beach, February 2 – March 4, 1973; Cobra + Contrasts: The Winston-Malbin Collection, The Detroit Institute of Arts, September 25 – November 17, 1974 (illustrated page 140); Provenance: Galerie Denise René, Paris; Collection of Lydia Winston Malbin (acquired 1958); By descent to present owner Note: This work is from the same cast as Coquille pour une déesse (Shell for a Goddess) of the same year (edition of three) which was reproduced in the catalogue of the exhibition Arp at Sidney Janis Gallery, New York, April 29 – May 25, 1963
