This Yankee Stadium version of the 1923 World Series program features cover portraits of opposing managers Miller Huggins and John McGraw. The interior scorecard pages are unscored, and the relatively clean copy presents in solid excellent condition overall. The accompanying original wire photo, issued by Atlantic and Pacific in 1923, depicts the eventual series victor. The photo, measuring 7"" by 11"", originates from the Whitey Witt estate (Witt was a star outfielder for the Yankees between 1922-1925). A marking in the lower right corner reads, ""Henry Olen Photo"". At some point a laminate was applied to the the photo leaving some surface bubbles. In spite of this, the first generation photograph is clear with strong contrast and crisp detail. A portion of the caption remains on the back along with the press stamp and date. The year 1923 marked the first of the New York Yankees record 26 World's Championships and the first played at newly-constructed Yankee stadium.
