Colonial American short hunting sword or hanger, estimated around mid 18th Century. 18 inch single fuller blade, with brass hilt and antler grip. Floral decorated "D" knuckle bow. Oval side guard decorated in relief with two figures under crown, and grotesque mask on edge. Crown over "GR / DRURY" stamped on both sides of blade. Dark patina to blade, with aged pitting and burs to edge. Hilt and fittings are good and tight. Very good example of and early American sword.
