Samuel Yellin Floor Lamp

Lot 0009 Details

Description
This floor lamp (stamped “Samuel Yellin”) belonged to Ralph Bencker, renowned Philadelphia art deco architect who designed numerous buildings in Philadelphia and NYC. The lamp was part of his estate in Ardmore, PA, and following his death in 1961, it went to his granddaughter Brenda Fritsche. The lamps original mica lamp shade ads considerable value, even with the oblong hole on one side. Dimensions: approx 15” by 61”.
Condition
The hole is repairable, though not necessary if hole is to the wall. The hole is not due to a defect (long story on how that happened). Otherwise, the lamp is in excellent condition.
