Ca. 4th to 6th Century AD. A bulbous yellow colored glass vase with short cylindrical neck and flared rim and decorated with zig-zag applied drizzled crimped registers of glass pattern. Size: 3 inches Height. Nice iridescence. Cleaned. 15623.Compare Dan P. Barag, -Rod Formed Kohl Tubes in the First Millennium BC-, Journal of Glass Studies, Vol 17, Corning 1975, p 23-26. Quite rare.Provenance: Leonard Wasserman (1925-2011), Philadelphia PA, founder of Kiddie City; who with his wife collected Roman Glass at great expense in the 1970's and 80's from dealers in New York, Philadelphia and New Orleans as well as overseas in Paris, London and Israel.
