Description
Two late Victorian 18ct gold rings, circa 1880. The first designed as a split pearl and circular turquoise cabochon hexagonal-shape cluster to the rose-cut diamond shoulders, the second designed as a foliate engraved panel band ring. The second with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1880. Total weight 6.4gms.
Condition
The lot is in good to fair overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized to at least one ring, with slight discolouration and minor marks to the inside of the bands, the gem-set ring with more noticeable discolouration and a nick. Both rings are slightly out of round. The gem-set ring is deficient of of the diamonds. Estimated diamond weight 0.01ct, the diamond is too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. The diamond has a small surface reaching feature. The split pearls appear discoloured. Ring size F 1/2 and O.
