C. 1938. Mutoscope Reel Co. A seldom seen penny arcade machine where depositing one cent would allow the customer to pull up on the large steel handle to measure their strength. The handle pull would move a monkey up a pole on a chain mechanism in front of a silk screened painted jungle scene background. Colored lights and a bell at the top would measure the strength of each player. Metal tag reads “International Mutoscope Reel Co.” CONDITION: All original cabinet is composed of oak showing moderate wear and some veneer chips. There is wear to the jungle scene as well.
