"Three Boys Playing in Artist's Studio" and "Three Boys Playing in Saddler's Shop" - a pair of oil on tin paintings by the well-known artist Johann Grund (1808 Vienna - 1887 Baden-Baden) Johann Grund was a very well known Austro-German portrait, historical and genre painter of the 19th century. He was born in 1808 in Vienna, attended the Vienna Academy and continued his education on his trips to Munich, Duesseldorf, Paris and Rome. The artist first worked in Karlsruhe, then in Baden-Baden. From 1834 onwards he was a royal painter of the Grand Duke of Baden. Works of J.Grund are displayed in museums of Karlsruhe, Mannsheim, Vienna and in many castles around Baden-Baden.
