A set of two Meissen Marcolini porcelain baskets, late 18th/early 19th century, each of compressed circular form, with a pierced body applied with painted flowers and naturalistic branch handles and feet, with crossed swords and asterisk mark in blue,24cm wide21cm deep10cm high,together with one other Meissen porcelain basket,with cold-painted bronze feet, crossed swords mark, handle lacking (3) There are two Meissen porcelain baskets pictured in the Saloon in H A Tipping and C Latham, 'English Homes', 1909, p.393. Condition Report: 2 with losses to flowers, 1 with later cold painted bronze feet.
