John Wesley Hardin, Notorious American Western Outlaw, Cut Signature, H 19" W 27.25" | Cut signature of the American outlaw John Wesley Hardin (1853-1895). Size of the signed paper: H 1", W 3". Well presented under acrylic in a wood frame along with a biographical plaque, printed images Wesley and a wanted poster. J.W. Hardin was an American outlaw and gunfighter. He was on the run from the law most of his life and had encounters with many famous figures of the Old West, including Wild Bill Hickok. Hardin was shot and killed in El Paso, Texas, shortly after serving 17 years in prison. Included in this lot is a certificate of authenticity from Authentic Autographs Unlimited, authentication number F12371. Also a certificate of authenticity from Antiquities International, Las Vegas. Also a certificate of authenticity from Guaranteed Forensic Authentication (number GFAA-802503) and forensic examination sheet stating the signature was made by a steel tipped fountain pen on cotton fiber paper and is consistent with other examples of Hardin's signature.

Very minor foxing to the paper.
