Description
Attributed to Sayad Haider Raza who was one of the most prominent Indian painters of Modern India. Raza’s paintings are identifiable by styles like geometric patterns, bold colors, and abstract themes. He used simple captivating striking colors. His concentric circles and geometric patterns were influenced by the Tantra paintings of Hinduism and Buddhism. Raza was a member of the Bombay progressive group, which included famous painters like Francis Newton Souza and Krishna Hawalji Ara. He first studied at the Nagpur School of Arts and later joined the famous JJ School of Art in Mumbai. Then he moved to Paris to study at the Ecole National Superieure des Beaux-Arts from 1950-1953. His art is highly sought after and can be found in public and private collections around the world. His paintings are sold by all major galleries and auctioneers around the world alongside great Indian masters like Maqbool Fida Husain, Jehangir Sabavala, KH Ara, Manjit Bawa, Hemendranath Mazumdar, B Prabha and many more.
