Florus was a Roman historian who lived during the 2nd-century. His history of Rome was collected by Livy, and mainly focuses on the foundation of Rome though the end of the B.C. era. The work is considered inaccurate, especially compared to Livys much more popular and famous History of Rome.
Still, this 1715 edition of Florus is a fine representation of ancient Roman literature, collected and edited by Michael Maittaire. It also includes a printing of Lucius Ampeliuss “Liber Memorialis” – an index of ancient Roman cosmography and mythology.
