Chinese Porcelain Peacock Statue Famille Verte Glazing

East Asia, China, late Qing Dynasty to early Republic period, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A charming mold-made famille verte porcelain peacock statue, depicting the bird perched gracefully on a tree stump adorned with molded cherry blossom branches. The base is glazed in a deep brown, contrasting with the bird's iconic, vibrant plumage rendered in green, yellow, and blue with black detailing. By the late Qing and into the Republic period, famille verte-style enamels were often used for export wares, decorative figures, and domestic ornaments. The hollow base is stamped "CHINA" along with character marks, indicating production for international markets. Size: 4" W x 13.75" H (10.2 cm x 34.9 cm)
