19th Century T. B. Griffin Landscape Oil Painting

Framed oil on canvas painting. Signed at lower right, appears T. B. Griffin, likely Thomas Bailey Griffin (American, 1858-1918). Landscape painting with view of a river from a clearing, surrounded by forest. Ornate carved gilt wood frame. Not examined out of frame. Frame measures approx 19 x 21.75 inches. Some wear consistent with age and exposure, cracks and losses on frame, indentation to lower canvas caused by stretcher bar and small areas of paint loss around lower right corner. Thomas B. Griffin was primarily a landscape painter, his subjects were often the Delaware River and Catskills regions. Property of North Salem, New York, equestrian estate.
