Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Underglaze Red Porcelain Celestial Vase. Potted in celestial shape vase, thick and tall, globular lower body, cylindrical neck, close mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against red color depicted of abundant lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed red script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
