Murat Brierre (Haitian/Haiti, 1938-1988) Winged Loas Riding Deer, circa 1990's. Signed. Size: 64'' x 31'' (163 x 79 cm). Monumental Folk Art Cut Steel Oil Drum Sculpture.

Murat Brierre joined the Centre d’Art, Port-au-Prince in 1957. In 1968 the Kohler Art Center held a solo exhibition of Brierre’s sculptures. His work was shown at a 1989 Centre Pompidou exhibition, and is part of several permanent collections, including the Milwaukee art Museum.
