Item 1: Watercolor, gouache, and pencil Art Deco costume design fashion study illustration attributed to Charles Carl Gesmar (France, 1900-1928), "Les Gigolo," c. 1920s. A woman in an orange and black costume with foliate headpiece and silver embellishments stands in profile with arms akimbo. With design specifications in pencil, upper left, and additional inscription lower right and verso, including title. Housed under glass in an ebonized wood frame with black mat, gold and red reveals, and red incised French line. Sight: 17 in H x 12 3/8 in W. Framed: 25 3/4 in H x 20 3/4 in W. Item 2: Henri Boutet (France, 1851-1919) hand-colored lithograph of a woman in a corset who speaks to an overcoat and tophat. A caption in pencil beneath the lithograph reads "C'que maman va et 'contente!" With artist's monogram in the stone, lower left, and stamped in red, lower right. Housed under glass in a giltwood frame with marbled mat and red reveal. Sight: 17 1/4 in H x 13 in W. Framed: 25 3/4 in H x 21 1/4 in W.
