A large French patinated and gilt bronze and black slate figural mantel clock
the bronze group after the model by Jean-Francois-Theodore Gechter (1796-1844)
late 19th century
The circular dial with Roman chapters, with twin train movement, base of bronze inscribed Th. Gechter.
height 30in (76cm); width 21 1/2in (54.5cm); depth 12in (30cm)
Provenance:
Property from the Collection of Larry Bond, Utah.

Condition

In two sections - bronze group and clock. Slate top of clock loose. General marks, scratches, rubbing, dirt accumulation and wear. With notable loss to back right corner of top of clock. Mace broken off at hand and retained as visible in catalogue photos. Working condition unknown and not guaranteed.
