Description
清中期 銅鎏金釋迦摩尼
This gilt-bronze figure depicts Shakyamuni Buddha seated in vajra paryankasana on a double-lotus pedestal. His right hand is lowered in bhumisparsha mudra, symbolizing the moment of his enlightenment, while his left hand rests in his lap in dhyana mudra. He is clad in a monastic robe draped over his left shoulder, leaving his right shoulder bare. His serene face bears a meditative expression, and his head is covered in characteristic snail-shell curls surmounted by an ushnisha. Mid-Qing Dynasty period.
