Tiffany Studios Bronze and Leaded Glass ‘Colonial Faux-Jeweled Band’ Table Lamp

Circa 1915

The domed shade with three central rows of large geometric segments in mottled opalescent and amber colored glass, with an upper and lower band of circular motifs, in amethyst and amber rippled glass, supported on a slender urn-form standard, with a paneled body and stepped shaped circular foot, pierced metal heat cap; shade with three affixed tags stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS, NEW YORK, and 593 (?), respectively; base stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS 585. Height 21 inches; height of shade 7 1/2 inches, diameter 16 1/4 inches.

Shade: approximately three of the small circular glass segments at the uppermost ring band have hairline cracks; none of the larger circular glass segments at the bottom ring band appear to have hairline cracks; approximately five of the small geometric brick segments at the bottom rim of the shade have hairline cracks; none of the large central glass segments that comprise the three inners rows of geometric segments appear to have hairline cracks; approximately nine of the small glass segments that surround the large circular segments at the lower border have hairline cracks;; shade is slightly 'out of round' (slightly pushed in at one end)

Base: there are three light sockets; sockets appear to ave some age; all three sockets have on/off switches with paddles marked 'Arrow;' the lamp is currently wired, however, the switches, sockets and wiring were not tested; the lamp has a mottled green and rust-colored patina; the patina has a uniform dulled appearance (would benefit from a possible cleaning and waxing); the heat cap may or may not be an original Tiffany Studios heat cap; the heat cap has a replaced (later) screw to adhere it to the ring mount at the top of the standard, however, it does not fit and the cap does not fit properly onto the shade
