Description

A vintage poster from the 1950s by Martin Peikert advertising the mountain resort of Engelberg in Switzerland. Peikert was a well-respected and popular Swiss artist, creating dozens of ski travel posters with bold designs. They became hugely desirable amongst collectors. This idyllic design showcases a stunning scene, with two of Engelberg's most popular tourist attractions incorporated: a snow-covered gateway to Engelberg Abbey and the Hahnen mountain in the background. Originally rolled, this poster is conservation linen-back with no signs of restoration. Dimensions: 106 cm x 68 cm (41.75" x 26.75")
