This exquisite 19th Century French Louis Philippe Carved Giltwood Mantel Mirror is a stunning example of mid-19th Century craftsmanship. Standing at an impressive height of 56.5 inches, this large arched wall mirror features traditional Louis Philippe design elements, including rounded corners and a straight base. The thick frame is adorned with a two-tone floral engraving and bead motif, enhancing its elegance. Finished in a rich patinated gold leaf, this mirror retains its original mercury glass and parquet wood backing, showcasing the luxurious materials used in its creation. Ideal for placement over a mantel, console, or in an entryway, this mirror is both versatile and timeless. New wire has been installed for easy handling and installation. Please note there are a few dark spots on the glass, but overall, the mirror remains in excellent condition, commensurate with its age and use.
