Crafted circa 1780 in Southern France, the frame is adorned with a pierced ornate cartouche at the pediment, showcasing a central carved rosette medallion flanked by laurel leaf motifs and embellished with carved swag tassels at each corner. The mirror retains its original mercury glass and wood backing, with a bright and patinated gold leaf finish that enhances its charm. Some natural oxidation and foxing on the glass add to its character, while hooks and wire on the back ensure easy installation.
