18th C Tiger Maple Drop Leaf Chippendale Table

18th C American Revolutionary War period very fine Tiger Maple Chippendale drop leaf table. Marked 1777 on bottom frame. Consignor states provenance of the table was originated in Valley Forge in 1777, and moved to Philadelphia, used by the Continental Army for map reading and tracking British Army Troop movements - see photo of their description. Tiger Maple has very fine striping, note some minor water rings. Leaves swing out easily and the build is very sturdy. Table measures approx. 46" W, with leave down it measures approx. 13.5" D, with leaves fully extended approx. 40" D, and the height is is approx. 23" H. Table legs appear to have been chopped down due to possible damage in the past.
