Cecil B. DeMille Peabody Award and Christopher Award. Vintage pair of prestigious awards presented to Cecil B. DeMille including (1) 1943 Peabody Award bronze medal (2.5" in diameter) presented in two-sided square frame measuring approx. 6" x 6", and (1) 1956 Christopher Award metal medal (4" in diameter) presented in wood stand measuring 6" x 1.25" x 1.5". The prestigious Peabody Award was presented to DeMille for his hosting and directing duties on the Lux Radio Theatre program in 1943. The Christopher Award was presented to DeMille in 1956, the year his last film, The Ten Commandments, was released to lavish praise and box office. Awards exhibit storage wear, some scuffing/paint loss on frame, and some staining, chipping on the wood base. The Christopher medal exhibits areas of oxidation.
