Royal Rudolstadt Neoclassical Porcelain Shelf Vase

Late 19th early 20th century porcelain vase. The ovoid form features a hand painted Neoclassical partially nude male figure, in standing pose, one leg atop a reclining lion, holding a spear, on one side, a lyre motif on the reverse, surrounded by scrolling foliate bands. Greek key and wave borders at the neck and rim. Applied figural ram’s head handles with gold and black accents to the shoulders. Exhibits a partially glazed finish. Underside marked with blue RW crown shield hallmark, Germany Rudolstadt.

Dimensions: 7.5 X 4.75 X 3.75 in.
