40 volumes. "With all the usual illustrations and very many rare plates." (8vo) 22x15 cm (8¾x6"), period three-quarter brown morocco and cloth, spines in four compartments divided by gilt-topped raised bands, three of the compartments lettered in gilt, the remaining compartment with gilt floral designs with red morocco onlays, top edge gilt. No. 72 of 250 copies of the Broadstairs Edition.



One of the more desirable editions of Dickens' works. Each volume with the bookplate and perforated ownership markings of the Notre Dame Belmont preparatory school.

Condition

Spines sunned, some minor nicks and light wear, one volume (Nicholas Nickleby, Part II) with front cover nearly detached; very good.
