EXTREMELY RARE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL SILVER MEDAL 2nd CLASS
This is an extremely rare Russian silver medal. While you might occasionally come across the same medal in a bronze version, the silver medal has never appeared at any international auction in the last 20 years. We believe that only a few silver versions are known to exist. You can find the description of this medal in Russian on the image. It's worth noting that the medal bears two stamps from silver masters.

HISTORY of SALES: A few years ago, the same medal in bronze 4th class (not silver) was sold in Moscow for $1,700 (18 years ago), underscoring the rarity, historical significance, and growing collector interest in these exceptionally scarce artifacts. Today, prices have risen significantly compared to 5-10 years ago, and even more so when compared to 20 years ago.
WARRANTY: This item qualifies for unconditional return. The buyer has 10 days from the date of sale to inspect items valued up to $5,000, and 15 days for items valued at $5,000 or more, to assess originality. IMPERIAL RUSSIAN ARMY: The Imperial Russian Army was the land armed force of the Russian Empire, active from around 1721 to the Russian Revolution of 1917. In the early 1850s, the Russian army consisted of more than 900,000 regular soldiers and nearly 250,000 irregulars (mostly Cossacks). The last living veteran of the Russian Imperial Army was Ukrainian supercentenarian Mikhail Krichevsky, who died in 2008.
